In September 2025 we set up Africelt Vulture Research Project and conducted a country-wide survey and community awareness project in The Gambia in partnership with the Gambian government and National Parks and Wildlife Department. This work is particularly critical following recent mass poisoning incidents of critically endangered Hooded Vultures in the country.
