Birdwatching Tour

The Gambia

Raising funds for vulture conservation

We at Natoura Voyage Wildlife Travel are committed to nature conservation as Luce and Barry have worked in this field for close to forty years. We are running this tour to raise funds for on going vulture research in West Africa and to bring awareness to the African Vulture Crisis. All proceeds from this trip will be donated to vulture research. Barry will be guiding this trip alongside a local guide. Barry spent many years based in The Gambia carrying out ornithological research up river and guiding birdwatching tours throughout the Country.

Join us on this tropical Ornithological journey. We will be based at the recently refurbished Kombo Beach Hotel . We will be visiting various habitats along the coast. Species we hope to see are Giant Kingfisher, Lizard Buzzard Green and Violet Turacos, African White-Backed Vulture, Hooded Vulture, Osprey, Fish Eagle, Terns and Waders, Pied Kingfisher, Palmnut Vulture, Black Headed plover, Little Bee Eater, Blue – Cheeked Bee Eaters, Africa Spoonbill, African Green Pigeon, Greater Honeyguide, Grey-headed Bush Shrike, Klaas’s Cuckoo and Northern Puffback
