Embark on an unforgettable wildlife adventure in Jim Corbett National Park, India’s oldest and most iconic tiger reserve. Your safari begins at dawn as golden light filters through dense Sal forests and mist rises from the Ramganga River, creating a magical atmosphere. Accompanied by an experienced naturalist, you will traverse rugged trails, grasslands, and riverine belts in an open 4×4 jeep, keeping your eyes and ears alert for the park’s incredible wildlife.
Jim Corbett is home to majestic Bengal tigers, Asian elephants, leopards, sloth bears, gharials, and more than 580 species of birds. Each zone—Bijrani, Dhikala, Jhirna, Dhela, and others—offers a unique ecosystem and different opportunities for wildlife sightings. As you venture deeper into the forest, you may encounter herds of spotted deer, langurs leaping between trees, or elephants quietly making their way through the undergrowth.
The safari is not just about spotting animals; it is also an opportunity to experience the raw beauty of nature. Listen to the calls of the wild, breathe in the scent of the forest, and witness landscapes that transition from towering trees to open meadows and shimmering riverbanks. Every moment feels alive with possibilities.
A safari in Jim Corbett National Park is a perfect blend of adventure, serenity, and natural wonder—an experience that stays with you long after you leave the jungle behind.

Day 5 (April 5th 2027)
Experience morning and afternoon safaris in the Dhikala zone of Corbett. The variety of wildlife and landscapes here is unparalleled in India and is considered among the top three national parks in the world. TripAdvisor has recognized Corbett as the second most popular national park globally. The tigers of Corbett are distinguished by their dark orange coats, and male tigers are rarely seen, sometimes snarling at tourist vehicles. Tigresses in Corbett are known to be the most beautiful in the country and can often be seen with their young cubs.
Corbett’s terrain includes a mix of dense woodlands, open grasslands, and riverbeds. As you transition between forest types, remember to adjust your camera settings to avoid overexposure. The lighting in different backdrops can be quite dramatic. Observing tigers in such varied settings is a unique experience. Corbett is also an exceptional location for bird photography, with raptors commonly seen perched on trees alongside the Ramganga River, waiting for their next meal. You may spot Pallas’s Fishing Eagle, Lesser Fishing Eagle, Changeable Hawk-Eagle, and Crested Kingfishers along the riverbanks.

Day 8 (April 8th & 9th 2027)
Awaken early and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee with biscuits before embarking on the morning safari. This early outing allows ample time to explore the reserve and enhances your chances of encountering tigers. Even if you don’t see tigers immediately, your guide and drivers will gather information to track them during the evening safari. Breakfast will be served at designated spots amidst the natural beauty of the landscape.
The name “Tadoba” is derived from a local king named Taru, who, according to tribal beliefs, was killed by a tiger and later deified. The tribals established a shrine in his memory, which is still a pilgrimage site for the local community. The habitats of Tadoba are characterized by Southern Tropical Dry Deciduous Forest, interspersed with meadows that support a rich density of herbivores, creating an optimal environment for large cats. Return to the lodge after the safari.
After an evening safari, when you return to the lodge, you may have a long checklist of sightings that you wish to review and discuss with other naturalists and fellow guests. Engage in conversations about the various birds and animals you encountered during the safari, and listen to the experiences and observations shared by others. This post-safari discussion can be an enriching and enjoyable way to reflect on the diverse wildlife observed in the reserve. All meals and overnight accommodations will be provided at the lodge.
